Rick Brown serves as the Director of Technical Operations Training at United Airlines, where he leads training programs for aircraft maintenance, ground support equipment (GSE), and facilities teams. With a career spanning more than three decades in aviation, Rick brings a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to his role.
Before joining United in 2017, Rick managed a Part 142 flight training school, where he successfully developed and gained FAA approval for the second-ever Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP-CTP) course in the United States. He also spent 25 years at Delta Air Lines, holding leadership roles in both aircraft maintenance and flight operations training, where he helped shape the next generation of aviation professionals.
In addition to his technical and training leadership, Rick is dedicated to supporting the veteran community. He recently served as Vice President of United 4 Veterans, United Airlines’ Business Resource Group for veteran employees, fostering a culture of recognition, support, and opportunity for those who have served. Rick himself is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
